About Gloucestershire Fairtrade Network

The Gloucestershire Fairtrade Network was set up in late 2002 to bring together those groups in the area which support Fairtrade. We are affiliated to the Fairtrade Foundation.

It includes representatives from Christian Aid, Oxfam, World Development Movement, Friends of the Earth, Traidcraft, Tearcraft, Mothers' Union, Women's Institute, local churches, local councils and other community organisations.

Our aims are:

To provide information for local groups supporting Fairtrade

To encourage local groups to hold events, especially during Fairtrade Fortnight

To increase awareness of Fairtrade among consumers and retailers

To support work in schools

To encourage catering businesses to use Fairtrade products

To assist in the production of Fairtrade Directories in localities in Gloucestershire
